Being a personal trainer, the first thing I am always asked is, “Hey Shane, what is the best exercise to lose belly fat?” Then I pause, and have to repeat the answer that I told many, many people before them…There is NO ONE best exercise that can burn the fat off your mid-section…there is only a combination of very specific regiments that you must follow if you ever want to see rippled abs poke through your tummy.

Step #1:
Monitor your calories. If you are having trouble seeing your abs, it is most likely because you are consuming too many calories and the excess fat is being stored in your body’s natural “holding tank” the stomach area. If you can cut back your calorie consumption, you will significantly increase your chances of revealing those washboard abs!
If you have a lean stomach, but just can’t get abs to pop, then move on to step #2….if not, then this should be the first task on your list if you want to have abs.
